Well, that didn't go very well.

We need another computer. That's all there is to it. With 3 adults vying for computer time, it's just not feasible to get anything significant done.

And I can't really write at work without distraction. And they (gasp!) actually expect me to work from time to time. So becoming engrossed in the writing headspace, though highly tempting, would not improve my productivity in relation to my job.

Sigh.

Of course, I've been presented with another option, one I truly should have thought of on my own. What about using actual pen and paper, at least during the creation stages? I do that for journaling. I've found that when I'm deeply troubled about something, or need to really open up my heart and dig through my psyche, it has to be on paper. And I can remember having notebooks scattered all over my room as a kid, with bits of stories and poems everywhere.

Who would have thought I'd become such a technophile? Good gods, I've been assimilated!

Methinks Euphrates is going to downgrade, and try this again. She's obviously too late for NaNoWriMo this year, but still worth doing anyway.

(But if the gods of yule are listening...a laptop would still be a LOVELY addition to the family...)
:D
